Ale's stones

Ales Stenar, located above Kåseberga on the southern coast of scania, is Sweden's largest and best-preserved ship setting. Dated to around 600–1000 AD, it consists of 59 large stone blocks, each weighing about five tons. The ship setting stretches 67 meters in length and 19 meters in width, situated 32 meters above sea level, with a view of the steep coastline and Bornholm.

Ales Stenar is a popular destination year-round, attracting visitors with its impressive sight and magnificent sea views. The surroundings of the ship setting are also rich in wildlife, with grazing animals and abundant birdlife. The area, which includes Hammars Backar and Kåsebergaåsen, is known for its biodiversity and unique sandsteppe vegetation.

Since January 2015, Ales Stenar has been managed by the Swedish National Property Board.
