Ystad’s Voluntary Salvage Corps is a nonprofit association that preserves the city’s fire and rescue history through vehicles, artifacts, and stories. They offer guided city tours in open vintage fire trucks through central Ystad, sharing stories about the city’s history, well‑known sites, and anecdotes – a mix of truth and humor. You also get access to their museum, which displays historical firefighting equipment and older communication devices.
